Privacy
Privacy, in plain language.
We collect the information you give us in the quote form (name, contact details, and answers about your home) to prepare your quote and follow up about it. We record consent for calls and texts with a timestamp. We do not sell your information. We use standard analytics and advertising measurement tags (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors find and use this site and to measure our ads; common browser privacy tools and ad blockers work normally against them. To opt out of messages, reply STOP at any time. Questions: call the number at the top of this page.
Text messages
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
The terms of our text messages are on our SMS Terms page.
Analytics and advertising tools on this site
Rocket Roofing General Contractor uses the tools below to see how people find and use this site and which of our ads work. Each one is named here because this site loads it. We do not sell your information.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you reached this site and how long you stay, using cookies, and gives us totals. To opt out on every site that uses it, install Google’s add on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google Ads tag and enhanced conversions
The Google Ads tag tells Google when someone who clicked one of our ads sends a form or taps our phone number, so we can see which ads work. It uses cookies and the ad click reference in the page address.
With enhanced conversions, when you send a form the tag also gives Google the phone number and email address you entered, and your name and ZIP code when you give both names, in hashed form (scrambled one way in your browser, so they cannot be read back), to match your request to an ad click. Our server may later tell Google the same way whether a visit was booked or a job was sold. You can see and change the ads Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com.
Meta pixel and Conversions API
The Meta pixel (Meta runs Facebook and Instagram) records the pages you visit here and, when you send a form, book a visit or tap our phone number, that event, using cookies, so Meta can measure our ads and decide who sees them. When you send a form, the pixel also gives Meta the email address and phone number you entered, in hashed form (scrambled one way in your browser, so they cannot be read back), to match your request to an ad.
When you send a form, our server may also send the same event to Meta through its Conversions API, with your name, email address, phone number and ZIP code in hashed form and your device’s IP address and browser type. You can control how Meta uses this in the ad settings of your Facebook or Instagram account, or at facebook.com/adpreferences.
OpenAI ads measurement
OpenAI’s measurement pixel for ads in ChatGPT records page views here and when a form is sent, so OpenAI can tell us which of our ChatGPT ads led to a request. When you send a form, the pixel and our server may give OpenAI your contact details in hashed form for the same reason.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use this site: where they click, how far they scroll and what they do on each page, shown to us as session replays (recordings of a visit) and heatmaps. Everything you type into a form field is masked in your browser, so it is never sent to Microsoft, and our settings mask the text on our pages in the recordings too.
Clarity uses cookies to connect the pages of one visit, and Microsoft may use this data under its own privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. To opt out, choose Microsoft at optout.aboutads.info or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser; Clarity honors both. A browser or extension that blocks tracking scripts also stops it.
Microsoft Advertising tag (UET)
The Microsoft Advertising tag (Universal Event Tracking) records the pages you visit here and, when you send a form or tap our phone number, that event, using cookies, so Microsoft can tell us which of our ads on Bing and other Microsoft sites work and show our ads again to people who have visited.
When you send a form, the tag also gives Microsoft the email address and phone number you entered, which it hashes in your browser (scrambled one way, so they cannot be read back), to match your request to an ad click. Microsoft uses this data under its privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. To turn off personalized ads from Microsoft, use choice.microsoft.com. A browser or extension that blocks tracking scripts also stops it.
ClickCease click fraud protection
ClickCease checks visits to this site for fake clicks on our ads, from bots and from people clicking with no interest in our work, so our ad budget reaches real customers. To tell them apart it looks at your device’s IP address and rough location, details your browser and device share, and how the page is used, such as mouse movement.
When a source of clicks looks fake, ClickCease can stop our Google, Meta and Microsoft ads showing to it. Its privacy policy is at clickcease.com/privacy.html. A browser or extension that blocks tracking scripts also stops it.
GroundTruth advertising pixel (retargeting)
GroundTruth is a third party advertising company. Its pixel, a tiny invisible image on each page, tells GroundTruth that your browser visited this site, with your device’s IP address, browser details and the page address, and GroundTruth may set cookies, so our ads can be shown again to people who have visited (retargeting) and we can see whether they work.
GroundTruth publishes its privacy policy at groundtruth.com. To opt out of interest based ads from GroundTruth and other companies, use the Digital Advertising Alliance’s choices page. A browser or extension that blocks tracking also stops it.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most privacy browsers and ad blockers stop these tools from loading. Our forms and phone number work either way.
